Southwest District Officers
Las Cruces/T or C area needs a slate of officers for the up coming (2005-2006) year.  If your are members of NMRDA Southwest district and are interested in serving as a district officer please contact your club representatives.  We need to notify the current District officers by the first of January.  The current district officers will become the Starte officers of NMSRDA and will be in charge of putting on the 2006 State Festival which will be held in Truth or Consequences.
Southwest District Memberships
Charles and Pat Davis have membership cards for sale.  If you purchase them now you can get a prorated membership.  Membership gets you into the district dances at a reduced rate.  Memberships are only $10/couple for the rest of the year, which includes a subscription to the "Southwest Dancer".  The "Southwest Dancer" lists all of the clubs and dances in the state.  A great resource when you can't make your own dance.
Mike Lewis
Mike had shoulder surgy the second week in November.  He is doing well and we hope to see both Mike and Alma at the dances soon.
NEW YEAR'S EVE
All the planning for this years dance is complete.  The menu is Bafrbecue Brisket, Turkey, baked potatoes, rolls, beans, coleslaw, vedggie tray.  All Blue Bell Members please bring a desert.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 and the dance will start at 7:30.  Please give Billie a  call at 382-8074 so we know how many people to prepare for.
DECORATING FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE DANCE
  Everyone is encouraged to help with decorating the Bridge Club for the "Big Bash".  We will meet at 10:00am on the 31st to decorate.  The club is going to provide Pizza and drinks for all of the workers.
PLUS LESSONS
Art Harvey's Plus Lessons are going well.  Evryone is having a good time and is learning a lot.  We even have sevefral couples from Deming coming over for the refreshers.  Lessons are Tuesday's at 7:00pm at Belton Bridge Center.  Class will not be held Nov. 23rd.  Check with Art if you are not sure, at 524-2071.
Upcomming Dances
NOVEMBER 21st - Circle 8's Thanksgiving Pot Luck - Club will providing turkey, dressing, gravy, and mashed potatoes.  Guests please bring a side dish or desert to share.

DECEMBER 31st - Blue Bell's 12th Annual New Year's Eve Dinner Dance.  Join all the Blue Bell's for this great dinner and dance.  Dinner will be served from 6:30 to 7:30pm.  The menu is Barbecue Brisket, Turkey, Baked Potatoes, rolls, beans, coleslaw, veggie tray.  Dance will be from 7:30 to 10:00 (Midnight on the East Coast).  If you come form out of town you may even be home by midnight our time.  For reservations please call Billie at (505) 382-8074 so we know how many people to prepare for.  Last minuet is OK too.  Cost is $15 for dinner and dance.  $5 for the Dance only.

MAY 20-22, 2005 - NMSRDA 58th Square Dance Festival will be held at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center.  Featuring the callers of the New Mexico State Callers Association and the New Mexico Round Dance Cuers.  NMSRDA Members Pre-Registration $15/$30 at the Door.  Non-Members Pre-registration $20/$40 at the door.
